About CityZen
CityZen Psychotherapy was created from the belief that high-quality mental health care requires both clinical depth and thoughtful structure.
In many settings, therapy leans heavily in one direction. It may be warm and relational, but lacking clarity or consistency. Or it may be highly structured, yet disconnected from the emotional complexity of real life.
CityZen was built to bring these elements together.
We believe effective therapy requires more than empathy alone. It requires training, reflection, supervision, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. It requires time and intention, not just attendance.
Why CityZen Was Formed
CityZen Psychotherapy was created from the belief that high-quality mental health care requires both clinical depth and thoughtful structure.
In many settings, therapy leans heavily in one direction. It may be warm and relational, but lacking clarity or consistency. Or it may be highly structured, yet disconnected from the emotional complexity of real life.
CityZen was built to bring these elements together.
We believe effective therapy requires more than empathy alone. It requires training, reflection, supervision, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. It requires time and intention, not just attendance.
CityZen was formed with three guiding commitments:
To cultivate a culture of supervision, growth, and accountability among clinicians
The name reflects this balance. “City“ represents movement, complexity, and the demands of modern life. “Zen“ represents clarity, groundedness, and presence. Healing does not happen outside of life — it happens within it.
